Savant Privacy Policy

Effective November 2, 2026

Savant ("Savant", "we", "us") is a brain-training app made by Cunningham Cloud Code LLC, 6207 S West Shore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33616. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Savant app for iPhone and Android, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@playsavant.app.

The short version

• You can play without giving us your name or email. We create a private guest account the first time you open the app.
• We collect what the app needs to work: your game scores, your settings, your friends, and your purchases if you buy Premium.
• Savant is free with ads from Google AdMob; Premium has no ads. Ads never appear during a game. We don't use analytics trackers and we don't sell your data.
• You can delete your account and its data at any time in Settings.

What we collect

Account information. A random account ID. If you choose to link an account, the email address that comes with it (from email sign-in, Sign in with Apple or Google). If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive a relay address.

Profile. The display name and username you choose (optional), your age group if you give one, your time zone (read from your device), and your training choices: the skills you want to train, how long you want to play, fun-fact topics and time, and US or UK spelling.

Activity in the app. Each game you finish (which game, score, accuracy, time taken, date and time), Daily Fact Check answers, the facts delivered to you and the ones you save, your streak, goals, achievements, workouts, and your Savant Score history.

Friends. Friend requests and friendships, invite codes, challenges, nudges, players you block, and reports you send about other players (a reason and, if you add them, details).

Notifications. If you allow notifications, a push token that lets us send friend, challenge and weekly-report notifications to your device. Daily fun-fact and streak reminders are scheduled on your device and don't use this token.

Ads. If you don't have Premium, Savant shows ads from Google AdMob: an occasional ad after a game, and ads you choose to watch for an extra play or a streak freeze. Google's ad software collects information from your device to show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud: your device's advertising ID (only on iPhone if you allow tracking when asked; you can reset or limit it on Android), your IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. If you allow it, ads may be personalized to you; otherwise they are not. Players in the 13–17 age group only get non-personalized ads with Google's teen safeguards, and every player only gets ads rated suitable for teens or younger. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). On this device we also keep a count of games played since the last ad, and of the extra plays you've earned today.

Purchases. If you buy Savant Premium, our payments provider tells us which plan you have, when it renews or ends, and whether you are in a free trial. We never see your card details; Apple and Google handle payment.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, health data or browsing history, and we don't use third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. Apart from Google AdMob (above), no advertising tools are used.

How we use it

• To run the app: save your progress across devices, build your daily plan, keep your streak, schedule notifications at your local time, and unlock Premium.
• To run social features: show your name, streak and scores to friends according to the sharing level you choose (everything, streak only, or nothing), and place you on weekly leaderboards. On the Everyone and age-group leaderboards, players who share nothing appear as "Private player".
• To keep Savant safe: enforce our terms, review reports, and stop abuse such as offensive names.
• To answer you when you contact us.

• To show ads to players without Premium, through Google AdMob.

We don't sell your data, and the profile, scores and friends data we hold isn't shared with advertisers.

Who we share it with

• Other players see what your sharing level allows.
• Service providers that process data for us under contract: Supabase (database and sign-in), RevenueCat (subscription management), Expo (push notification delivery), Apple and Google (sign-in, app distribution and payments), and Google AdMob (ads; Google acts as an independent controller for some ad data, as described in its policies). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
• The law. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of players or others.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. Some records are removed sooner: invite codes are deleted 30 days after they expire, nudges after 30 days, and records of sent notifications after 14 days. When you delete your account we delete your profile and everything linked to it, and remove you from our payments provider, within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record (for example, of purchases).

Your choices and rights

• Sharing: Settings › Profile and friends › What friends can see.
• Notifications: turn each kind on or off in Settings, or in your phone's settings.
• Ads: buy Premium to remove them. On iPhone you can allow or deny tracking when asked, and change it in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you choose whether ads may use your data when you first open the app, and can change it any time in Savant's Settings › Premium › Ad privacy choices. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
• Delete your account: Settings › Account › Delete account. This can't be undone. If you have a subscription, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account as well.
• Access or correct your data: most of it is visible and editable in the app; for a copy of the rest, email support@playsavant.app.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, or to object to some uses. Email support@playsavant.app and we will respond within the time the law requires. If you're in the EU or UK, our legal bases are performing our contract with you (running the app), our legitimate interests (safety and abuse prevention), and your consent (personalized ads, which you can withdraw in Settings › Premium › Ad privacy choices).

Children

Savant is for people aged 13 and over. Where local law sets a higher age for agreeing to data use (up to 16 in some EU countries), players under that age need a parent or guardian's consent. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email support@playsavant.app and we will delete it. Players aged 13 to 17 can choose the 13–17 age group, which is used only to rank them against players of the same age.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with our providers, who encrypt it at rest. Access is limited by account, so players can only read their own data and what friends choose to share.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. For transfers from the EU and UK we rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
